After one year we toke a part in Flying Festival in small town called Vlora, situated on the south of Albania. Month May start with rainy weather, so we escape SE direction from middle Europe, coming to the nice and sunny weather through Macedonia. During weekend there was accuracy landing competition and we try to do the best results.

I would like to invite you to read some things, which happened during trip. First day was very interesting. Our member Georgi tried to land on the local beach. Following briefing instructions, he tried the best, but he had to cross many barriers. He was too long, but catches the best goal!!! He finished his landing, sitting on the beach on the back of nice looking woman. She looked more shocked than angry…nothing happen, end was good 

Last competition day the wind gets stronger, and I need to take more ballast. Calculating our weight the results was = 8 legs. Flight was without any problems. But on the landing the umpire had a lot of work to recognized, which leg was touching the ground the first and closer.

During final ceremony we had feeling, that we understand a little their politic situation, through the great atmosphere. Very interesting for us was listening both hymn, Albanians and Serbians. Sport make it easy and take people closer, brake barriers and borders. On the other hand, we had also bad experience. On the border with Serbia and Albania, the police man sad, that they are big enemies and they have to check us…

We enjoy the trip a lot, although the long journey. Albania made us happy and did not disappoint us. Like every year the sun invite us in very nice and friendly atmosphere. Next term will be at 5.5.-8.5.2011, don’t wait and try very different country, see festival and practice accuracy landing.
