In Turkey, me and Zdena Vacke made a plan, that in the nearest good wheather forescast, we will go to Slovenia. That time, i had no idea, that at once the next week will be perfect. The forecast was ok and I was free. The international group, consist of the Czech and Slovakian pilots, was ready for the adventure on the top Triglav.

Saturday

We went to Bohin Lake, where we would like to cope the peak Pršivec ( 1761m). His parametrs seemed to be ideal for speedriding, unfortunately he was covered in cloudiness of inversion. We changed a plan and climbed up to the peak Vogar. On the way I mentioned the year 1993, when I had here my first and hopefully last accident on the glider. After take-off with a side wind I had a half collapse of my glider and before I got over, I was in the trees below take-off.

On the take-off was blowing a moderate wind, ideal condition. We flew down and got a well mood for tommorow.

Sunday

The wake-up call was at 5 o´clock in the morning. Around half past six we were in the parking place in the middle of the valey, where at that time was already parking about 8 cars. Last control of the equipment, picture and group consist of Adolf, Zdeno, Michal, Lukas and me are going to cope Triglav.

The temperature was around zero, about half an hour we walked in cloudiness of inversion as far as…the mountains, spotlighed with a orange shine, started to come up. After a next half an hour the sunshine also stroked us, this was the reason, why we chose the climbing on the south-east slopes. On the way, we met a couple of people, who were returning back to the cars after a passing night in alpine cottage.

The first point of our climb was the sadlle up on high 2515m above the sea-level. Here we made a break in the cottage Krederica after stock replenishment we went off again.

Just 350 difference in altitude, in my opinion the most beatiful, but also the best-more exacting part. We climbed by the help of wire rope or on a half a metre wide path, which is bordered by the steep hill astride.

After 1,5 hour we are on the top, the view was breath taken. It was a light wind and around 20 degrees.

Michal was first, he waited on favourable wind and took-off without any difficulty. Next one was Lukas but the wind had been changed and after unsuccessful take-off he torn off one main line so badly, that was impossible to repair it. The others were going down to try take-off from saddle. I prepared my Cima, that I will try to wait for favourable wind gust. I had tryied it for two times, but finaly was coming the right blow and I took-off. I was flying !!! I can say the feeling was so near to base jump, I felt the adrenalin minimally 5 minutes after take-off.

I flew around the peak Triglav and after 30 minutes was landing close to the house of Alias, where I met with Michal. We hugged and were as if we right landed on the moon. It was amazing sensation. After a while we saw other glider, it was Zdena, Adolf with Lukas were going down by walk cause of the broken lines on the glider. In the evening after two biers we had a feeling as if we drunk up whole barrel…

Conclusion

Paragliding has a many faces and it depends only at you how are able to enjoy it. I would like to say thanks to the company Sky Paragliders, that they upheld this trip by lending of the light paraglidning
