Our weekly PG trip has ended. It was difficult to part with such a nice and well coordinated crew. Guys, you were awesome! I am happy to announce that we flew all the terrains that we planned to fly.
The air in Bassano was crispy after the cold front and we managed to fly small triangles and even flew above the 1st World War Memorial. Next day we move on to Feltre and experience some rough conditions. The north-west wind situation makes it difficult to fly easily and to jump the valleys. Sometimes we kick our legs open and fight hard in the Pieve valley. “Hajtra” could not resist to land next to “Mogul” on his favourite meadow (the place where they both landed once before). Stepan, Filip and I make it to our goal – the landing place in Pieve d'Alpago. In the evening we have a taste of italian wine and cheeses.
Third day we go airborne once again and explore thoroughly the Pieve ridge. After one hour fight in the overshadowed Monte Serva we all land next to Belluno supermarket. Well, after three days of flying, ten hours in the air, everyone has about 120 km behind their belt. Next day we choose to move on to Slovenia and rest a bit. Kobarid has a very nice camping place, where we cool down in the fresh waters of Soca river.
The strong eastern wind at Kobala makes it difficult to fly to Krn, and we all land just before Kobarid. But the next day makes it all worthwile. Waiting at Stol, we spot local eagles and follow them all the way to Italy. Some make the journey twice, others try out Polovnik and Krn. We all land after four hours airborne and cool down in Soca river again.
Well done guys: Hajtra, Stepan, Kamil, Pavel, Filip, Zdenda and Evik. All together we flew more than 1350 km as a team.
Results:
Hajtra 221,61 km
Stepan 203,65 km
Pavel 196,38 km (scores the best for his triangle points)
Filip 192,05 km
Kamil 191,74 km
Zdenda 115,6 km
Evik 47,79 km (after 2 weeks of flying)
