Seven brave – Lenka, Michal, Mirek, Pavel, Leoš, Petr and Duchy – started SIF 2011 season. They were not afraid of any spiral spin or fullstall maneuvers and what more – we could see some new maneuvers like held frontstall or standing in speed during regeneration after asymmetric collapse&speed.
We arrived at Friday evening by JemmBus and with help of already domesticated trainees we built big JEMM tan and kitchen tan. Rene, owner of the camping, prepared brand new briefing room for us. It is simply comfort here ;).
At Saturday we started with briefing, we discussed program for following days, we set up harnesses and we tried rescue systems functionality. So we spent some time during not so good weather time and just after that weather started to work for us. First day after warm up by wing control maneuvers as pitching control, wingover and collapses there were also fullstalls. During Sunday we were working since morning on negative spins and more and more fullstalls and descent maneuvers. Leos vitalized our day by rescue deployment during exit from spiral spin. Mirek was doing all the maneuvers faithfully so he overloaded his arms and had to slow down. Pavel with his Atis one also smoothly went through all the maneuvers. Lenka was finishing every flight with very nice wingovers and Michal very often got nice high before he few to above the lake. Duchy was making us on the watch out all the time by doing extraordinary maneuvers. And finaly there was also our acro pilot Dave who was cutting blue sky by sharp acro. We also welcomed group of Czech pilots that came to practice…
Everyone tried what moneuvers wanted during Monday and at evening Lenka, Pavel and Petr deployed theirs rescues – all of them were excited how aesy is that. After that barbecue, beer, discussions until deep night. Also Pavel and Michal finished theirs “B” licence exam – Congratulation.
And if anybody has troubles – Douchacek will manage everything! :)
