SVĚTOVÉ LETECKÉ HRY 2009

This big festival of flying sports (Flying Olympic Games) just now follow in Turin, Avigliano and Mondova in Italy, till 13.6. The open ceremony was fantastic and Olympic fire didn’t missed. Eight years ago Tomas Lednik takes a part in Spanish Siera Nevada. There it was different, because this cross county paragliding disciplines cooperates with World Paragliding Championship. More pilots could take a part there. But this time it is different. Only the best representatives could be there from each flying discipline from each country. Comity chooses from every flying sport only the most popular for spectators, so one maximum two members from each country. Owerall were around 300 members, compete in 22 different disciplines. I would like to mention that we have closer to JEMM club.

Begin of competition was successful for Czech Republic with results. Kamil Konečný won the first day in accuracy landing from 17 the best pilots in this disciplines, which is situated in the middle of the lake. For some pilots was not so easy to catch the pontoon above the watter.

10.6. was not the best day for our accuracy landing – Czech Team. Kamil was longer and did 170cm more. But experienced Tomas give him advice: “ Don’t worry, one the worst result will cat from owerall!” Just follow your concentration and go!!! Our college from parachuting is very different. Las year World Champion Libor Jiroušek is after 5.tasks at 13. Position. But Jindra is just at 4.position, so very close to medal. Dana is at 16. position. Will be 4 more jumping and a lot will change. Our Para motor friends today made speed slalom. Our team is in very good conditions, so twoo of them Pavel and Franta take first positions. We cross the fingers for all our team. Good luch.
